ABOUT OUR WORSHIP GATHERINGS//
Liturgy//
- One of the first things that many observe about the gatherings is that we have a defined structure of “movements” or phases to our worship. These movements consist of communal prayer and readings which accompany the music and teaching.
Our liturgical movements are meant to reflect the progress of the Gospel in our lives. We do this because we believe our God is a god of order, and because we want Sunday mornings to be more than just downloading Bible info and hearing some great songs.

Music//
- At Veritas we are blessed to have a series of ridiculously gifted musicians who serve us with their talents every Sunday morning. They play everything from old hymns to original compositions and arrangements.
Though there is diversity in the musical styles, the songs all have one subject: our Lord Jesus. Worship occurs throughout the entirety of our gathering, but we find that singing together provides a great outlet for unified worship. Teaching//
- Something you’ll notice about us is our deep love for the Bible as God’s revealed Word to us. Thus, the centerpiece of our Sunday gatherings is the teaching of the Word.
We usually go straight through books of the Bible, wrestling with what God has to say to his Church and how we can each apply that truth to our own lives. Teaching should initiate learning, and we hope to be great learners of what God is teaching us through his Word.

Communion/Lord’s Supper//
If the teaching is the centerpiece of our gathered worship, communion is the climax. It is a sacred rite commanded by Christ in which we all share in the bread and the cup.
By celebrating communion, we remember Christ’s sacrificial work on our behalf, both individually and corporately. This rite is something that has been observed by all Christians in all times and places, and it reminds us that we are part of God’s cosmic work through his Church.

Kids//
- We love children. They are blessings from God and we love having them around. During the gatherings, we provide a safe and fun environment for kids up to age 12. They learn from the Bible, sing some songs and have a blast in an environment designed to help them encounter Jesus for themselves.
Older children are encouraged to join their parents in the gathering.
